The Client approached Inline NutraLabs to create fortified pods for Nespresso style equipment.
The Client’s target was to launch the first nutraceutical pods and change the way Nespresso machines are used globally.
Inline NutraLabs’s Technical and Business Development teams worked closely with the client in getting this idea from concept to a commercial formulation.
Business Development worked with the client to take the original project brief and then analysing and tweaking it, before briefing the Technical Team on client’s requirements and keeping track of client’s needs throughout the project and aligning these with internal team requirements.
Product Development created many formulations with a variety of ingredients that were assessed in the espresso machine. This ensured that colour, flavour and nutrients were all extracted properly. Different grades of each ingredient had to be trialled to ensure proper extraction, before using it in the final formulations and preparing samples for assessment and approvals.
The Technical Team guided recommendations for formulation adjustment, depending on extraction outcomes. The Client’s Technical Team was also involved from a manufacturing perspective, particularly in regard to premix flow properties in bulk bags.
Inline NutraLabs assisted our Client’s Marketing team by reviewing labels, marketing information and positioning of product to meet all legal and nutritional guidelines.
Several teams from both the Client as well as from Inline NutraLabs worked together intensely in person and via conference calls over the course of 15 months to hit milestones and bring the idea up to a level ready for commercialisation.
